Ethiopia is the country of origin of coffee, and the word coffee comes from Kaffa, an area of the country. Legend has it that the plant was discovered here by some shepherds who were intrigued to see their goats become more agile and alert after eating the berries of this plant.

Ethiopian Sidamo, grown between 1,600 and 2,000 meters above sea level, is the finest and rarest of the arabica coffees from this land.

Awarded a gold medal at the 2006 International Coffee Tasting thanks to its bursting aroma, it gives unprecedented notes of black pepper and cinnamon that combine with sweet hints of tropical fruit.
